The Centre is active in the local community, and nationally, in responding to racism, hate, bias, discrimination, intolerance, and other human rights abuses. The Centre's staff are trained in intervention, mediation, and investigation techniques, and works closely with non-profit groups, law enforcement, government, and human rights agencies in developing community-based responses to all forms of hate and bias behaviour.
